Head of Creative
My interest in design and everything visually appealing started when I was very young. I was the little girl in the big extended family who looked up to her older, cooler cousins and uncles who worked with their hands and were creative in a way that is rare today. Don’t have glue at home? Use cooked rice! Can’t find soy milk anywhere in Sweden (it didn't exists in the early 90s)? No problem, we’ll make our own!
To fit in, I also began expressing my creativity by drawing a lot, both on paper and digitally in Paint. And when I say a lot, I mean a lot. One of my uncles eventually introduced me to Photoshop when I was 12 (acquired by illegal means, of course), and I instantly became obsessed. Without being particularly good at English, I still had the patience and motivation to learn everything about the software—color theory, how to draw human anatomy, retouching, etc.
Today, I believe a lot of my curiosity and desire to always learn something new still remain. It strengthens me and my confidence in my craft. And I still feel the same kind of joy I did as a child when I can sit for hours and focus on something that others might find trivial.
